Hale Golf Club is renowned throughout the area for the quality of its food and service. Members, their guests and any green-fee paying visitors are able to dine at the club seven days a week, whether it be a quick bite after a round of golf, or something more substantial. There is an active social programme throughout the year, with special evenings and gourmet dinners as well as Sunday lunches. Staff are always on-hand to ensure that refreshments are available from early morning until late in the evening (please consult the opening hours for further info).
In addition, when the club is not being used for club events, members are able to hire the function rooms for private events. Requests for functions should be made in the first instance to the Secretary or Clubhouse Manager.
Our main function room is perfect for bigger occasions. Holding up to 90 people, members have the flexibility of hosting formal events, such as three-course dinners, or informal events, with a selection of different hot and cold buffets available. Of course, our Head Chef Peter Rowley is happy to accommodate almost any menu that you may require, so if you have something in mind, please don’t hesitate to ask!
Members are also able to hire a dance-floor for events in the main function room. There is a basic PA system which allows for background music as well - please speak to the Clubhouse Manager Ben Wetters to learn more.
If members are looking for something a bit more intimate, our Bar lounge is perfect for smaller occasions. Holding up to 25 guests, a partition can be drawn to separate the lounge from the bar area. The PA system also extends through to the back room, and a projector screen is available where required.
If you are looking to hold an occasion at HGC, please contact the Clubhouse Manager, who will be able to provide a selection of buffet & sample menus. Of course, every occasion is different & personal, and our Head Chef Peter is always happy to create a bespoke menu to suit.
I first joined Hale Golf Club in 2009 after graduating from Leeds University but left in 2017 to further my career at Bramhall Golf Club. After a short successful spell there, I returned in 2019 to take on my current role. I am always keen to ensure members and guests have the best experience possible at HGC.
Before joining Hale in 2019, I had been Head Chef at the Ox Restaurant & Hotel in Manchester, The Bells of Peover, The Roebuck in Mobberley and Amba in Hale. Using my wide-ranging experience in Hospitality I like to use locally-sourced supplies to produce classic English dishes as well as food from around the world.
